If you’re passing through Chorley any day next week don’t be surprised if you see a giant panto horse, running down the street. You won’t have been dreaming, honestly!
That’s because the manager of Chorley pub, the BayHorse has found a unique way to shout about her new pub menu launching this month. Janet Ingelson and her team will be donning fancy dress and sandwich boards and taking to the streets with specially numbered leaflets detailing the new dishes. The person with the ‘lucky dip number’ on their leaflet will win a meal on the house.
Janet is convinced the menu, launching 13 March, is the best yet for the popular community pub and promises customers it will have plenty of great deals making it affordable for all. The pub’s hugely successful ‘daily deal’ a rotating daily dish is to be replaced with an even better ‘All Day Every Day’ deal, meaning customers can get any one of deals now, any day of the week.
New dishes such as the deliciously light summery Pasta Penne Arrabbiata and freshly prepared Tandoori Chicken Salad will be joining the menu reflecting the seasonal change whilst the list of pub favourite dishes priced at just 2 for £7 has been extended to give even more choice.
“In addition to several new dishes on the menu, we’ve also concentrated on ensuring all of our popular dishes are the best they can be, by working with our suppliers to source quality produce and refreshing training for all the kitchen and front of house team”, said Janet. “We’ve increased the size of some of favourite dishes such as the Sunday Roast served in a giant Yorkshire pudding and the king-size combo, whilst keeping prices down.”
To celebrate Janet’s ‘first birthday’ at the pub, she and the team will be hosting a showcase evening for customers to taste complimentary samples of the new menu on Monday 12 March from 7-9pm.
