Beloved neighbourhood pub, the Intrepid Explorer in Middlesborough, is set to reopen on Friday 26th July following a £144,000 renovation from Craft Union. The local hub will also be hosting an entertainment filled launch party weekend from Friday 2nd August to officially commemorate the next chapter of the pub’s journey.
Following its refurbishment, the pub will reopen with a completely refreshed interior, including a brand-new darts board area, an outdoor bar and TV to complement the garden as well as the installation of Sky and TNT Sports, ensuring any avid fans don’t miss a minute of sporting action. The re-energised space now features an uplifted décor, creating a cosy vibe in the pub for all to enjoy.
On Friday 2nd August, the Intrepid Explorer will be hosting live music from 9pm to kick off their launch party celebrations. The following day they have a DJ and karaoke from 3pm as well as a live band from 9pm! The pub will have huge giveaways all weekend for customers to win some exciting prizes.
Ann-Marie Tate has been running pubs for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience in the Middlesborough pub trade. Ann-Marie will be joining the Intrepid Explorer as its operator and commented: “I am thrilled to be reopening the Intrepid Explorer this summer and unveiling it’s brand new look and feel. So much work has gone into breathing new life into the venue and making this pub one of Middlesborough’s finest. I am looking forward to welcoming back our familiar faces and any new visitors, come pay us a visit!”
The Intrepid Explorer reopens with a fun-filled weekly schedule of events that includes karaoke every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6pm as well as a number of games for guests to get involved with. These include Spin the Wheel every Tuesday between 3pm and 7pm, Win Meat Voucher on Wednesday afternoons from 12pm – 5pm and a games afternoon every Saturday.
