The team at Hudson’s on Cornwall Way in East Kilbride celebrated one of their busiest weekends following an investment from the Stonegate Pub Company, the pub operator that owns and operates the business.
Hudson’s was closed for three days and in that time the pub had a fresh coat of paint both inside and out, the introduction of new furnishings with a mix of fabrics and textures, a new contemporary colour scheme, a state-of-the-art lighting system and the installation of a 50” TV, ensuring that sports fans can see every pass, penalty and goal.
Speaking about the refurbishment, Graeme Frew, Manager of Hudson’s said: “The investment has given a new lease of life to Hudson’s and the team and I are delighted with how the pub looks. Hudson’s is so many things to so many different people at different times of the day, so it was important to get that balance right and I think that’s something that’s been achieved.
“The opening night was a great success with lots of positive feedback from our customers. The crowd was entertained by Gordon and Lewis who took part in our regular open mic nights on a Thursday and they really created a fantastic atmosphere – I think we can expect great things from the duo and look forward to watching their profile grow. We’re delighted to be able to showcase and support local talent and hope that is something we can continue to do in the future.
Hudson’s was in definite need of an investment and the company has exceeded our expectations. If you haven’t visited Hudson’s in a while or have never popped in, I would encourage you to pay us a visit and see the changes that we’ve made. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.”
