Day-to-night venue, Rita’s Beerhall and Ballroom, opens on 6th December

The nation’s first ‘beerhall for cocktail lovers’, Rita’s Beerhall and Ballroom, is set to take Leeds by storm from its home on Woodhouse Lane. With just one month until opening, its exciting entertainment lineup and mouth-watering menu have been revealed.

Rita’s will offer all day dancing, live music and big event screenings whilst fierce, leopard print pool tables will provide fun and friendly competition. Guests will be seated (or dancing…) around large, sociable beer hall tables, whilst a vibrant beer garden will provide outdoor space all year round. The venue owes its name to two signature menu items, the XXL, 24-inch pizza margherita (The Big Rita) and the margarita cocktail, available in classic, spicy, strawberry and slushie versions.

Live entertainment every day

Rita’s is set to become THE place for entertainment in Leeds. On the music front, guests can expect solo artists, duets, duelling pianos, live bands and DJs throughout the week. There will be a monthly film club and big events, from sport to reality TV finals, will be shown on the big screen. Full information on all happenings at Rita’s will be released weekly on its website and social media channels.

Pizza and other tasty things

The pizzas at Rita’s are supersized, available as giant slices or XXL 24-inch sharers. Flavours range from the Big Rita (a classic margherita with fresh basil and a drizzle of homemade pine nut pesto) to Prosciutto Party (Prosciutto, fresh pineapple, goat’s cheese, piquanté pepper sauce and rocket) and ‘Ndancing Queen (Spicy ‘nduja pork, pieces of sweet piquanté pepper, mozzarella, sweet onion and fresh oregano) Tasty sides include Stuffed Crust Dippers, mozzarella filled dough sticks with a range of mouthwatering dips on the side. And the showstoppers continue with dessert! There’s build-your-own sundaes with sauces and toppings added to either a vanilla soft serve or a tequila rose flavoured ice cream.

Cheers to the ‘ritas

Margarita cocktails are the stars of the show, crafted with Casamigos tequila. For even more fun, Rita’s offers two tequila-based slushies, priced at £6 all day every day. There’s a classic margarita slushie and a Paloma version with grapefruit. The drinks menu includes more popular cocktails from a Hurricane to a Coconut Iced Tea, and a selection of homemade shandies. There are also beers from around the world, including some quirky rotational bottles, wine and shots.

David McDowall, CEO at Stonegate Group, the company behind Rita’s Beerhall and Ballroom commented: “Rita’s is set to bring day-to-night experience to Leeds like no other. We can’t wait to welcome this first-of-its-kind venue to Leeds, a city where Rita’s will really shine. It’s a place where everyone is welcome, the pool tables are leopard print, dancing is always encouraged, and anything can happen!”

Rita’s opens on 6th December 2024 and is open every day from 12pm until 3am.
