The Loaded Dog pub in Leicester will reveal a brand new look when it re-opens after a £250,000 investment on the 20th January 2018.

Far from just a lick of paint, the big reveal is an entire revamp complete with new bar, sports zone, ‘Kennels’ beer garden and an offer that includes an entertainment line up fit for Leicester’s dynamic social scene.

With quirky add- ons like chargers on every table, neon lights, and an interactive boxing game (no contact)! in the sports zone, it’s clear all elements of a fantastic modern pub have been ticked off.

The opening bash on 20th January is set to be a show stopper as 20-piece band Leicester University big band society take the stage from 8pm with renditions of Minnie the Moocha and Lady Marmalade – a welcome remedy to January blues!

“Sports remains a strong focus for us. The downstairs sports zone with table football, boxing, fruit and quiz machines is a brilliant addition and we’ve got Sky and BT Sports across ten HD TVs and two big screens,” said manager Jay Barclay.

“We’ve well and truly brought our vision to life doubling up as a great relaxed workspace for both students and office-escapees, and a lively weekend and evening venue.”

Free printing, fast Wi-Fi, and more charging points than most offices, are just a few hints that this is a bar deliberately tempting students and workers away from their cold common rooms and bland meeting spaces.

Drinks variety is fabulous from astonishing freak-shakes involving cake, cream, nutella, marshmallows and candyfloss; to tin can cocktails available in a single or ‘Giant’ size, brilliant for sharing either in person or on Instagram.

A craft beer and cider wall is home to five rotational craft beers and Lilley’s craft cider whilst lager lovers also have ample choice, and there’s the perfect serve with frozen Heineken glasses – destined to be a best seller in the beer garden during the summer months.

All day breakfasts serve from 10am and for those on the run, grab ‘n’ go pastries and coffee are on offer. There’s amazing grazing food, geared up to keep customers fuelled up, from morning to night. Meat lovers, vegans, the health conscious, and grazers to big plate diners are well and truly catered for.

A packed line up of reasons to visit include double loyalty point Mondays, Bingo Tuesdays, socials for sponsored societies Wednesdays, craft and cocktail Thursdays, DJ Saturdays, and interactive speed quiz Sunday’s.

You’re even rewarded for loyal custom! The MORE loyalty card earns points when you eat and drink, saving you money – now who can say that’s not a good idea?!

Ends 3rd January 2018
