Newly-renamed community pub The Kilburn Bridge, formerly known as Bokor, is set to re-open its doors this Thursday, 29th February, after receiving a 6-figure investment from fastest growing operator led business, Craft Union Pub Company. The pub has had an uplifting refresh throughout and will hold a launch party for guests to enjoy the new-look space across the weekend of 8th, 9th and 10th March.
The community hub has had a complete interior revamp, with a fresh new look throughout, including brand-new HD TVs installed, which will now show TNT and Sky Sports for sporting enthusiasts to enjoy all the upcoming sporting action with drink in hand! As well as this, the pub has also had a brand-new pool table and darts board installed, so locals can team up and enjoy some friendly competition with friends and family.
The local pub, previously known as the Bokor, will see a familiar face at the helm, Oana Bolohan, who has run the pub since 2015. Guests will be pleased to welcome Oana back, as she has been in the area for over 10 years and has extensive knowledge of Kilburn and the local customers and is well loved throughout the area.
Oana Bolohan, Operator at the Kilburn Bridge said, “Having been at this very pub for almost 10 years, it’s been amazing to see the progress and to have been here through all the changes. I’m really excited to welcome all my regular locals back and hope to see some new faces too! Kilburn has a special place in my heart, and it’s great to be re-opening the refreshed space on the high-street for all to come and enjoy.”
As well as the interior refresh, the pub will now be hosting weekly entertainment, with a brand new rotating weekly schedule, so guests can enjoy various different activities throughout the week! This will include darts on a Monday, CU Quiz on Tuesday, Pool Wednesdays, Poker Night on a Thursday, DJs across the weekend until late, and live music on a Sunday! The pub also benefits from a 3am licence for both Friday and Saturday nights, so guests can enjoy the late-night venue for even longer.
Oana will be fundraising via the pub for The Deaf Children Society, who innovate to overcome the social and educational barriers that hold deaf children back and support children and their families in their personal journeys. They will also be helping to raise funds for the Air Ambulance Charity, who deliver an advanced trauma team to London patients. Both of these charities have personal meanings to Oana, and hold a special place in her heart, and guests are encouraged to donate to the much-needed causes.
