Richard Harrington, MP for Watford, recently visited the Walkabout in Watford town centre to see the improvements made following the completion of a significant £500,000 investment in the site.
During his visit, Mr Harrington met General Manager, Philip Holby and Cluster Area Manager, Jonathan Masterson. He was given a tour of the venue and learnt about Stonegate’s apprenticeships, training and development schemes. Mr Harrington even tried his hand at pulling a pint.
Following his visit, Richard Harrington, said: “It was fantastic to meet Philip and Jonathan, and great to see how the investment at this Walkabout has really had a positive impact on the venue with increased numbers coming through the doors. Not only has Watford now got this refurbished establishment open and thriving but also a new Slug and Lettuce and Popworld on the way! It is encouraging to see Stonegate investing in our local community and ensuring we have a thriving high street .”
