Janet Ingleson and the team at the Bay Horse in Chorley are spreading the word about their new talent competition – The Bay Horse Has Got Talent- which begins at the pub on Saturday 26th May from 8pm until 11.30pm.
One lucky customer could walk away with a £100 prize money and of course, the title of winner in the inaugural The Bay Horse Has Got Talent competition.
“When you’re behind the bar, you hear lots of stories of what customers have been up to and what their hobbies are,” said Janet, Manager of the Bay Horse. “Two of our customers are magicians and we’ve heard some fantastic voices at our regular karaoke nights and we’re always being handed over CDs from local bands and artists who want to play at our live music nights, so we thought the best way to showcase all of the talent we have in the area was to host a designated talent competition.
“We’re encouraging everyone to get involved from impressionists to comedians to dance acts to vocalists – everyone is welcome have a go. From 8-9pm we’ll be using that hour to host the younger members of our community so if you’re aged 8-18 and have a talent to share, please get involved.”
To take part in The Bay Horse Has Got Talent all you need to do is visit or call the pub and leave your name, your talent and your contact details so that the team can book you in. The pub will be hosting heats for thirteen weeks over the summer which will culminate in a final on Saturday 25th August.
The competition will be judged by members of the Stonegate Pub Company, the company that own and operate the Bay Horse along with members of staff from the pub and invited guests.
