Popular New Waltham pub The Farmhouse has reopened after a stunning makeover to offer the best in hospitality to customers old and new alike.

The pub was closed for three weeks for the refurbishment and regulars have been delighted to see the changes at what is the last pub in the East Lincolnshire village.

Work includes new design features, furniture, and carpets inside, along with a seriously upgraded outside area featuring heated booths and new lighting.

There are familiar faces behind the bar with Tanya Thomson officially taking over as General Manager from her husband Barry. Together, the pair have run the pub for 10 years and are thrilled with the new look Farmhouse.

Tanya said: “It is spectacular. The word we hear most from customers is ‘wow’. They are amazed at how it has changed. It has been modernised but has maintained that friendly and warm Farmhouse feel that our customers love.”

The new menu has also proved to be popular with dishes such as Sunday roasts, rump of lamb, and duck breast helping the pub to achieve some of the most successful days in the couple’s decade there.

The Farmhouse officially relaunched with an event featuring a Michael Bublé tribute act. More live music is planned as part of an entertainment package that also includes quiz nights and karaoke.

Everyone is welcome at the pub that is family and dog friendly. In fact, Tanya is so keen on customers bringing pets along that she created a charity calendar featuring photos of the Farmhouse’s canine visitors.

She said: “When we did it we had 50 dogs turn up at the pub! It has been very popular and sales of the calendar have helped us raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

“We like to do lots for charity and this year we are collecting donations of toys from customers that we will take to the children’s ward at the hospital before Christmas.

“This is a wonderful community pub. We have been here for 10 years and have got to know so many people and see their families grow. It is great that they can now enjoy the changes of the pub and we look forward to welcoming lots of new faces too.”

The Farmhouse is part of the award-winning Stonegate Group. It invested over £250,000 in the pub so it can bring the best in hospitality to the New Waltham community and beyond.

There is a wide array of drinks including cask beer, wines, a selection of gins and other spirits, along with cocktails.

Keep up to date with all the events and offers on the pub’s website and follow on its Facebook page.
