The Globe Inn, Hackney was proud to play host to the local Mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville, recently. The Mayor met with the pub’s operator, Andy, and even rolled up his sleeves, pouring pints behind the bar.
This community pub, which is part of the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, received a six-figure investment last year. The Mayor met Andy’s team and regulars and was shown the pub’s new look and offer.
Mayor Glanville said: “I had a fantastic and important visit to the Globe Inn on Morning Lane. It’s been lovingly modernised – retaining many of the key things people loved so much about the old Globe, including old pub and sporting memorabilia and great local staff”
The Globe Inn has a jam-packed entertainment schedule, there is something happening every night of the week. Mondays and Thursdays are Race Days. Every Tuesday, the pub hosts a Quiz Night and on Wednesdays, guests get involved with karaoke. The weekends start with The Globe Inn’s resident DJ playing the best Friday night party tracks and Saturdays provide music from the hottest in local talent.
Andy said: “Hosting the Mayor was a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything we have to offer to the community. Our recent investment has made a huge difference and the feedback we have received from our regular guests has been brilliant. I cannot wait to build on this in the coming weeks and months.”
