The Mayor of Middlesbrough recently visited the Endeavour, a Tollesby-based pub, to see the results of its recent £170,000 refurbishment which has resulted in significant enhancements, including an upgraded audio-visual system, interior rework, and exterior improvements to create a more welcoming and sociable environment for guests and neighbouring visitors.

The pub’s new Operator, Scott Peat, a former member of the pub’s pool team, has played an instrumental role in the refurbishment. “This investment has brought about a massive change with sport at the heart of the venue now. It was an honour to have the Mayor of Middlesbrough visit us and recognize the investment we’ve made in the business and the community,” said Scott. “The new pool table and other features have already been a huge hit with our regulars, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more customers to enjoy our new facilities.”

During his visit, Mayor Andy Preston was impressed by the investment made in the pub and praised the new additions. He also took the opportunity to discuss the importance of community and the impact of business challenges with Mr Peat.

“It was fantastic to get to see the Endeavour’s refurbishment first-hand. This is a real community pub with a lively, welcoming atmosphere, so congratulations and good luck to Scott and his team. This sort of investment and community spirit is just what Middlesbrough needs more of.”

Endeavour’s new look is sure to be a hit with locals, and the pub is looking forward to welcoming customers to enjoy its new facilities.
