The Minories in Tower Hill has become the first pub in Stonegate Pub Company to install Meantime ‘Brewery Fresh’ tank beer.
Meantime Brewing Company worked closely with the managed house operator to install the specially engineered, custom built tanks. The ‘Brewery Fresh’ tanks create a unique way of serving unfiltered, unpasteurised London Lager, tasting as fresh as the day it was made.
The installation at The Minories features striking copper piping, straight from the tank to the fonts, adding to the theatre of the two specially engineered tanks sitting at in the heart of the pub. The beer has become the Minories’ best-selling beverage since the impressive install at the beginning of July.
London’s newest ‘Brewery Fresh’ offering celebrated joining the tank beer revolution last week by hosting a free tasting to customers, with Meantime staff explaining why the beer tastes so good and how tankers deliver direct from maturation tanks within the brewery to the tanks in outlet, with no contact with oxygen until the beer hits the glass.
Derek Avington, Head of Marketing for Stonegate’s traditional pubs, said: “Innovation on craft beer installation has been key to our strategy with a need to meet high expectations of the millennial drinker. Our newest refurbishments feature eye-catching craft beer walls, so we’re delighted this installation adds to that dynamism, encouraging further category growth.”
Rich Myers, Marketing Director at Meantime Brewing, said: “Our Brewery Fresh offering has consistently set the standard for tank beer in the UK and showcases our commitment to innovation in brewing. By embracing the latest technology we are able to bring drinkers great tasting beer as fresh as the day it was made, and we’re excited to welcome The Minories as our latest Brewery Fresh pub.”
Meantime has led the integration of Brewery Fresh tanks into bars and pubs within the UK since 2013, and plan for installations to increase throughout 2016.
