Beloved community hub the Crown, Scissett, recently had the pleasure of welcoming local MP Mark Eastwood to learn all about the extensive renovations the pub has received, following a substantial six-figure investment from award winning Craft Union Pub Company.
Operator Sharon was on hand to warmly greet Mark and give him a grand tour of the Crown, which now boasts a stunning new look following its investment. The renovations include new flooring and furniture to refresh the look of the pub along with a range of new HD TV screens, so local sports fans can catch all the latest games. Avid sports fans will also benefit from the new illuminated darts board and pool table, perfect to enjoy with a refreshing drink.
Sharon and Mark were able to chat about how the investment has benefitted not only the pub, but also the local community, who have flocked back to the Crown since its re-opening and love the new look.
“It has been lovely being able to chat to Mark and show him around the Crown.” Said Sharon, “The team and I pride ourselves on being a welcoming, friendly community pub and it was great to be able to show Mark how much the locals love coming to visit us. We look forward to welcoming him back again.”
Not only was Mark able to have a tour of the Crown and a chat with the team, he was also able to get behind the bar and try his hand at pouring a pint, guided by the expertise of the experienced pub team.
