The popular high street brand Slug and Lettuce, which is famous for its cocktails and tasty affordable food, will be taking up residence in Stockton Heath, Cheshire.
Situated on the former Cape site on Victoria Square, the bar will close from Sunday, 23 March and reopen on Friday, 4 April and will have something to offer locals and business guests throughout the day and evening as the venue is transformed with a £100K investment seeing the creation of 15 new jobs.
A spectacular launch weekender party commences on 4 April at 5pm with 2-for-1 cocktails and complimentary canapés and cupcakes. The weekend of entertainment will include the popular Diamond giveaway, where a guest will get the chance to win a diamond worth £500. Guests will also be able to enjoy their five minutes of fame walking down the purple carpet with the paparazzi and the first 100 people entering the new Slug and Lettuce venue will receive a Peroni goody bag and free Bellini.
The Slug and Lettuce will open every day offering breakfasts together with a range of lunch and dinner options which now include a ‘under 500-calorie’ menu, with items such as the Chicken and Pepper skewer (416 calories) and the Aubergine and Tomato Bake (430 calories). These sit alongside the popular platter range and mix of steak, fish, vegetarian and seasonal options.
Children can also choose from a range of tasty options from the under 8’s menu. On Sunday’s the ‘Kids For A Quid’ promotion means that for every adult dining at full price a child can eat for £1. Guests can also receive 50% off their food bill on ‘Happy Mondays’, while ‘Tikka Tuesdays’ offers 2 for 1 curries and ‘Wine Down Wednesday’ offers all wines (except sparkling and champagne) for £11.45.
Guests can also look forward to a range of mouth-watering cocktails, world beers, free Wi-Fi and Costa coffee.
The Slug and Lettuce, will open at 10am-11pm Sunday to Monday, 10am-12pm Tuesday to Thursday and 10am-1am on Friday’s and Saturday’s.
Speaking about the new opening, manager Michael Cotterill said: “The investment in the site as a Slug and Lettuce will be great for Stockton Heath. The site will have a completely different look for the interior and exterior of the building including new décor and furniture. We will also be offering the popular Slug and Lettuce menu and drinks offer.
“We are planning to attract clientele from as far as Warrington to the new look venue.
“There is a real buzz in the village about Slug and Lettuce coming to Stockton Heath with staff and customers excited and looking forward to the change.”
