Following Sunday’s League Cup win, Geordies have stormed through 40,000 pints across eight dedicated fan zones in the capital, topping off a weekend for the decades with a sore head on Monday!

Fans were in a celebratory mood as Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United beat Arne Slot’s Liverpool in a blockbuster Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium – Newcastle lifted their first major trophy since 1955, with goals from Dan Burn and Aleksander Isak sealing the win despite a late Liverpool fightback.

The eight Newcastle fan zones saw thousands in attendance with Newcastle flags and decorations transforming all the pubs into the ultimate spot for Newcastle fans who were enjoying an unforgettable weekend.

Sports Bar and Grill Marylebone alone saw 8,000 pints sank as the toon army made themselves known, with songs and partying going on late into the night.

A dedicated playlist, curated by Newcastle fans, played famous toon anthems throughout the weekend, fuelling the ultimate party atmosphere ahead of the big game.

Stephen Cooper, Head of Marketing at Social Pub & Kitchen, said: “We’d like to congratulate Newcastle United on winning a cup final that will live long in the memory for years to come!
