Beloved community gem, the Garden House Norwich has made a phenomenal impact with their fundraising efforts for various local causes including ‘The Salvation Army Norwich’, ‘Only a Pavement Away’ and local schools. The much-loved hub has donated thousands of pounds across the causes as part of Craft Union’s ‘Make it a Million’ endeavour to reach one million pounds in charity donations across its sites nationwide.

Craft Union is a leading pub company that, after raising a fantastic £800,000 for a wide range of commendable charities last year, has aimed to smash their fundraising goal of £1 million by February 2025. They plan on rallying together their tight network of well-loved UK pubs to reach their awesome goal through various fundraisers and activities.

Norwich’s the Garden House is a fundraising high-flyer and is showing impressive commitment to their efforts to raise much-needed funds for a range of causes. The local favourite has worked closely with Norwich City Council to donate food boxes, treats and toothbrushes to an astonishing 3,000 local children during the school holidays. This follows their initiative to donate a terrific £2,000 worth of Easter Eggs, chocolates and treats to local children in need over the Easter period, inviting donations from other members of the close Norwich community.

Operators of the Garden House, Jonathon and Tanya, will not be stopping there to reach his fundraising goals, and continues to support various worthy causes on an ongoing basis. With the help of the pub’s close-knit community, Jonathon is able to donate roughly £1,000 of food and supplies on a weekly basis to The Salvation Army, Only a Pavement Away and ‘St Martin’s Homeless Charity’. Just last week the Garden House family were able to supply 48 flasks to ‘Pottergate Arc’ and 98 flasks to St Martin’s Homeless Charity, along with a vast stock of food and other supplies.

Not only do Jonathon, Tanya and the Garden House team work hard to donate to this range of invaluable local causes, but they have also been able to raise huge amounts with The University of East Anglia for local sports students in need. The community hub is a favourite amongst students and works closely to run events to help nurture student wellbeing in the local area. Good natured fundraising events at the Garden House provide much for its student community, and Jonathon is proud to share that his team have raised almost £20,000 for the great cause.

Operator, Jonathon says: ‘our whole trading week is built around being an important part of the community here in Norwich. We are a driving force for good, helping those who need a hand and providing those who want to help an opportunity to do so. We love to work with many charities, and it’s wonderful to see the student population do so much good work too.’
