The unveiling of the much-anticipated £250,000 investment at The Old Plough at Seaford was made last night (29th February) and it was stunning!
The Mayor of Seaford Councillor Dave Argent and local Town Crier were there to help General Managers Julie and Philip Wilkins celebrate.
Philip, who first started behind the bar twenty years ago said: “The renovations have completely transformed the pub. Customers have been blown away by how elegant and charming we now look, whilst keeping the original character.
“The team have been amazing having gone through weeks of training to ensure we’re ready for our totally new, freshly prepared, pub favourites food menu. Customers are going to love our new cocktail range as well.”
With five cask ales and two new craft ales – Meantime’s London Lager and Longhorn IPA, on tap alongside a vast wine menu and premium spirits, the pub is catering for it’s wide range of customers.
The promised top quality, freshly prepared classic pub food, was on show with tasters throughout the evening and with Mother’s Day just around the corner, customers are being encouraged to book for the few spaces that are left.
“We can’t wait for the people of Sleaford and surrounding areas to see how fabulous we look, and experience our new menu with specially selected dishes from Guest-Ale-Battered Cod and Chips to British Beef, Rioja andamp; Chorizo Slow-Cooked Pie. It’s great to be taking the Old Plough into the next era.”
Other great things to look forward to include two meals for £9.49 Monday to Friday; Cask Ales Mondays for just £2.25 a pint; Spice Night including curry and a drink for £7.79 on Tuesdays; Wine Wednesday’s including a selection of wines for £10 a bottle; and Lazy Sundays for traditional, freshly cooked Sunday roast.
