Reopening with an inspiring new look, the Black Horse pub in Watersheddings is gearing up for an autumn full of sports action and live entertainment, following a £274,000 investment.

Popular with both locals and passers-by, the Black Horse has extended its sports offering with nine new 4K HD large screens installed and both BT and Sky Sports shown, making sure that guests don’t miss a moment of this autumn’s key football and horse racing action. Located in the heart of the Watersheddings community, the pub also now has a new dedicated darts throw area, which will be sought after by local darts teams.

The pub’s entertainment continues with a range of activities for guests to enjoy throughout the week, with the always entertaining Race Day on Monday afternoons from 1pm, followed by Killer Darts in the evening from 8pm. Tuesdays see the pub’s Tombola hosted, which starts from 11am and will see an afternoon of fun at the bar where guests have the opportunity to win their next drink for free, followed by a Games Night from 7pm. The middle of the week sees free pool on offer during the day on Wednesdays and Killer Pool competitions from 8pm. Thursdays welcome back a pub quiz with prizes to be won.

Starting the weekend will see Friday nights of Karaoke, and Saturdays which will see a live DJ perform in the evening. There will also be live music coming to the pub, updates on which can be found on the Black Horse Facebook page.

Speaking on the refurbishment, Operator at the Black Horse, Dominic “We’ve got a great new line-up of entertainment for our guests to enjoy, as well as a fully stocked bar with favourites such as John Smiths, Birra Moretti and Staropramen available on draught. It’s sure to be an exciting few months here at the pub, what with the Fifa World Cup just around the corner.”

The refurbishment has given the pub a whole new lease of life with an internal redecoration and refit. An added option for guests to enjoy any autumnal sunshine has also seen improvements made to the pub’s garden area, with a new TV installed.

With an unbeatable offer of beers, ciders, wines and spirits from the bar, a range of non-alcoholic drinks are also available alongside bar snacks at this community pub.

Dominic added “I’m really excited to be opening the doors and seeing the local community enjoying the pub once again. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into enhancing this pub, making it a hub for locals and passers-by alike to enjoy time with their friends. Look out for a range of community activities which will be announced in the coming weeks, to raise funds for some great causes.”
