The Roundabout in Plymouth has reopened following a £350,000 investment into the popular Devon venue.

Receiving a complete transformation throughout, the venue’s new look interior has seen the pub given a new lease of life. The pub has also seen a new large outside area opened with 16 tables for guests to enjoy the last of the summer sun. The pub’s facelift has really brought a fresh feel to the popular venue.

Inside has seen the pub’s ground and mezzanine floors given a complete makeover, being painted, and having its flooring, carpets, furniture, and lighting all replaced and modernised. The refurbishment has also seen air conditioning installed as well as two new pool tables. Externally the venue has been painted blue, with a local graffiti artist, Harried Wood & Hazardone (@hazard0ne), also adding a new look to the pub with a mural being sprayed onto the outside of the building, making it really stand out from the crowd.

With great viewing facilities throughout all areas of the pub, there’s no better place in town to catch all of the best sporting action live with your friends and family, with both BT Sport and Sky Sports being shown daily. In total the pub has 17 TVs and two projectors to enable a view of sport from every seat in the house. Elsewhere, entertainment comes from the pub’s popular Parties on the Patio events, and the upcoming freshers’ welcome party on Friday 23 September, along with further planned regular live band and DJ nights.

The site of the popular pub is based close to Drakes Circus Shopping Centre, as well as the city’s university and museum.

Open every day from 12pm and in a central location makes The Roundabout the perfect venue to pop in and enjoy a refreshing drink. The bar stocks quality beers, wines, and spirits including a new six-tap cider wall, a six-tap craft beer wall and also a fabulous range of cocktails, that are currently on a two-for-one offer. The Roundabout has also launched a Gin Lab, where guests can mix and match their favourite G&T combos and experiment with new flavours.

The pub’s ever-popular food menu has also seen a spruce up, with pizzas being added to its current favourite offerings such as their delicious burgers and wings. A Bottomless Brunch, along with a brand-new vegan menu have been introduced meaning there is something for everyone’s taste. With regularly food and drink deals, there is also something to suit every budget.

The pub is run by General Manager Richard Smith, who has worked at The Roundabout for nearly nine years. Speaking on the reopening, Richard said: “It’s great to be back open with our new look and space outdoors, and we’ve been as busy as ever since reopening the doors. As well as our popular student nights and weekend events were looking to bring more and more entertainment to the pub, making The Roundabout the place to be for nightlife in the city.”
