Beloved Battersea pub, the Anchor, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment, creating five new jobs in the local community.
The pub closed its doors in May with the pub now reopening with a new look after a much-anticipated wait, with extensive work taking place behind the scenes to introduce new features, with the popular pub keeping its character but adding exciting new additions.
Situated on Holgate Avenue, the pub has established itself as Battersea’s ultimate destination for pub sports, featuring a new darts area perfect for local league players and a dedicated space for pool enthusiasts.
The pub is also equipped with Sky Sports and TNT Sports, and with a state-of-the-art audio-visual system in place, the Anchor is the best spot in Battersea to watch the big game. The Anchor also now has Sky Q, allowing the pub to show more games than anywhere else with the venue able to show multiple matches from lower league football teams across the weekend.
Inside the pub, a brand-new bar has been installed, allowing for more space to serve drinks while reducing waiting times to ensure you can grab your tipple in no time at all.
In the outdoor area, new wooden benches equip The Anchor’s beer garden with a homely feel alongside fresh hanging baskets which improve the pub’s aesthetics.
Situated near popular walking spots, this homely venue is also a favourite among guests stopping by for a pint with their pooch.
It also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area, as well as an extensive offering of no and low alcohol offerings, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

The Anchor boasts a huge events programme with the pub providing a reason to visit every day. Mondays feature Dominoes during the day and Killer Pool in the evening, while Tuesdays bring Killer Darts, both with a £2 entry fee.
Wednesday is all about midweek karaoke, perfect for anyone looking to liven up their week and channel their inner Celine Dion, while Thursdays are reserved for the darts and pool league.
Guests can get their dancing shoes on for Friday’s karaoke disco, and the weekend brings the party atmosphere to Battersea with live music and DJs late into the night.
Sunday afternoon gives guests the chance to win their weekly shop, while later in the night invites the smartest in Battersea to test their knowledge at the weekly quiz.
