Six new jobs are being created at one of Romford’s most popular bars, when it re-launches later this month following a £160,000 investment.
Missoula, on South Street, is set to re-open on Friday 22nd May with a celebratory party for its customers.
Doors open from 11am for customers to enjoy a leisurely lunch, trying out dishes from its new menu before the party starts from 5pm. General Manager Graham Tuach and his team are inviting regular customers to join them for complimentary cocktails and canapes to kick off the evening in style. Welcoming customers along the red carpet will be entertainers including fire-breathers, stilt-walkers and even angle grinders. A glow in the dark robot, known as glo-bot, will be wowing guests with his shooting light canons. One of the bars four resident DJ’s will be hosting both Friday and Saturday night and will be joined by saxophonist player Chris Williams who will be accompanying tracks throughout the evening. Golden tickets, giving customers free entry before midnight on Saturday 23rd May, are available by contacting the bar via its facebook page.
The bar which is situated on two floors is being upgraded throughout with new VIP booth seating for friends to create their own party space, additional seating for dining and a new sound and lighting system installed to create spectacular light shows to music.
Missoula’s outstanding range of cocktails for which it is famed for is set to get even better with the introduction of exciting new drinks and vessels to coincide with the bar’s re-launch. A wider range of fruit flavoured Mojitos and Margaritas have been added whilst customers can have their cocktails served up in the quirky teapot sharers or even have their spirit by the bottle, served at the table with six cans of Red Bull or a pitcher of mixer.
New low calorie and mocktail options are available to try, for instance the Gin-berry slim, which is under 200 calories and the alcohol free Ginger snap, made from apple juice, ginger beer and cucumber slices.
The trend for new world and craft beers is being adopted by Missoula with the introduction of Goose Island Honkers, Einstock IPA and Brewdog Punk IPA by the bottle as well as fruit flavoured ciders, Magners Berry and Rekorderlig Dry Apple Cider.
All the new food and drinks choices will be available via the same great offers such as 2 meals for £7.95, half-priced drinks from 7pm on Thursdays and Sundays and two-for one cocktails every day from 5-9pm.
Speaking about the refurbishment General manager Graham Tuach said, “The investment perfectly coincides with the warmer weather and a brand new food and drinks offer for Missoula. Our revitalized look and exciting range of fresh dishes and interesting new drinks mean Romford’s number one bar is just getting even better.
“We have a number of special guest nights planned throughout May with a visit to meet and greet customers from Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing on Sunday 24th May and a joint appearance from Geordie Shore star Vicki Pattison and Celebrity Big Brother’s Casey Batchelor on Saturday 30th May.”
The bar will open daily from 11am closing at midnight on Sunday through to Wednesday, at 2am on Thursday and at 3am on Friday and Saturday.
