Slug and Lettuce, the high Street’s best known and loved cocktail bar operator is gearing up for a busy week as it celebrates London Cocktail Week (6-12 October).

The seventy-four strong bar operator with fifteen bars in London will be showcasing its latest themed cocktail list – COLOURS.

The mini cocktail list which runs alongside the classic extended selection of cocktails, includes six special ones and four shot-tails, all created with colour in mind.

The vibrant green ‘Midori Sour’ includes Midori, lime juice, Gomme and a lime wedge served over crushed ice, whilst ‘Blue Monday’ – Absolute vodka, Bombay Sapphire, Blue Curacao and lemonade with a lemon twist running through it – looks cool and sophisticated in a martini glass.

Also served in a martini glass, ‘Mango Sunrise’ is made with Absolut Citron, Absolut Mango, pineapple juice and Grenadine, giving it an enticing two-toned orange look. ‘Captain’s Blackbeard’, often described as the cocktail for the man-about-town, is a served in a tall glass and contains Morgan’s Spiced rum, Coca Cola and Guinness.

The ‘Red-Red Bull’ is the perfect pick-me-up start to any night out and is sweeter in taste than Captain’s Blackbeard, comprising, Smirnoff Red vodka, Chambord, cranberry juice, Red Bull Red and served with a lime wedge and straw, over cubed ice.

Black and White Russian make up the final colour themed cocktails – both containing Smirnoff vodka and Tia Maria. The ‘White Russian’ is completed with Half and Half, whilst the ‘Black Russian’ has a touch of Coca Cola added.
Completing the colour theme is a selection of four Absolut vodka Shot-tails, Manderin, Vanilla, Raspberi and Citron, available with a choice of mixer.
