The Slug and Lettuce on Brentwood’s High Street is set to sparkle over the Diamond Jubilee Holiday. The team at the bar will be giving away a diamond worth £500 to one lucky customer to celebrate the Queen’s sixty years of reign.
On Sunday 3rd June at 7pm, the first 100 customers through the Slug and Lettuce doors will be handed a complimentary glass of bubbles which will have a cubic zircona attached to the stem. Customers will then have their gem tested by an expert jeweller who will be in the bar to see whether their gem is the real deal.
Andy Proudfoot, manager of the Slug and Lettuce said: “Giving away a real diamond to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee seemed a fitting tribute and it will definitely make it a holiday to remember for one customer!
“Already, there’s a sense of excitement and anticipation for the Diamond Jubilee. This great weather has really got people in a celebratory mood and we hope that continues. We’ve got a great weekend of events planned and on Sunday we’ll be open until 2am with our resident DJ, JP Fatboy playing the best music designed to get you up on the dance floor. We’re going to make it an event to remember so come and join us in raising a glass to the Queen, our fantastic monarch.”
