The team at the Slug and Lettuce on the Cross in Worcester, which is owned and operated by the award winning Stonegate Pub Company, are holding a free entry fundraising evening from 6pm on Friday 31st May, in order to raise money for the Help Harry Help Others charity.
Speaking about the charity Amy Porter, Deputy Manager at the Slug and Lettuce said; “Help Harry Help Others is a very worthwhile cause and, as a relatively new charity, doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, so we are happy to support them in any way we can. The local Barclays bank are supporting the event and have agreed to double any money that is raised from the evening, so we’re hoping that lots of people will come to the event to show their support.”
Help Harry Help Others was founded by 11 year old Harry Moseley, who was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. He made and sold bracelets to raise money and awareness for his friend, who was also suffering from the same condition, and the charity grew from there. The charity not only aims to support cancer research but also helps the families of those who are diagnosed with the disease.
Entertainment on the night includes live music from State band, 2-4-1 on the delicious range of cocktails; the latest hits from Slug and Lettuce’s resident DJ, and the opportunity to buy tickets for the charity raffle with a great selection of prizes which will be drawn on the night!
In addition to the raffle, Help Harry Help Others bracelets will also be in sale continuing the legacy of the brave 11 year old.
