Stonegate Pub Company, has won the HR Distinction Award for Innovative Use of Technology. The pub company which has 12,000 employers received the award at a ceremony at Birmingham’s ICC on Tuesday evening (4th February), hosted by comedian, Jon Culshaw.
The HR Distinction Awards celebrate the outstanding contribution that innovatively designed and superbly executed HR strategies make to business performance and the bottom line. Stonegate won the award for its bespoke online training platform and it’s new intranet system that houses a wealth of training and company information, along with all employees’ professional development records.
The company was also shortlisted for Distinction in People Development Award.
In March Stonegate will also find out if has retained its title for a second year of ‘Best Employer 50+ sites’ at the Publican Awards, organised by the Publican’s Morning Advertiser, the licensed retail sector’s trade publication.

Since its inception in November 2010, the Stonegate Pub Company has doubled the number of pubs it operates to 625 with three significant deals; the merger with Town and City Pub Company; the purchase of the Living Room venues and the acquisition of 78 pubs from the administrators of the Bramwell Pub Company.
