The Birdcage in Stoke Newington is open once again offering locals all the very best of British pub hospitality and unrivalled TV sports viewing.

Open all day and every day, The Birdcage on Stamford Hill re-enters the Stoke Newington pub scene with a complete new look and food and drinks menus, following a £132,000 refurbishment project by the leading pub company, Stonegate Group.

It is the place to go for outstanding BT Sport and Sky Sports pub viewing thanks to the new HD big screens with latest audio – just in time for the summer rugby internationals and Women’s Euros.

New highlights to the menus are a host of craft beers, real ales, a variety of gins, extensive cocktail menu, hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, range of tasty burgers, traditional Sunday lunches, and bottomless brunches.

General Manager at The Birdcage, Audrey Boum-Enock said: “This is a fabulous pub and it’s brilliant to be here and welcoming people back in. We are back with a bang! This is the place to watch sports and enjoy live music and entertainment. The atmosphere is amazing, there is a real buzz and people are loving it. Whatever the time, day or occasion, it is a brilliant place to come for a drink or a meal.

“This is a warm and welcoming pub where people enjoy a drink with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, can take their time over a delicious meal or cheer on their favourite teams and players.”

It is open seven days a week and the new breakfast menus are already proving popular, ideal for a leisurely start to the day or perfect for a breakfast meeting. All diets and appetites are catered for throughout the day and night – book ahead or just pop in. The extended drinks menu features local, national and international brands with ever-changing guest beers and an exciting cocktail menu to explore. There are barista-style coffees and hot drinks as well as a great selection of soft drinks and low and no alcohol drinks.

The traditional pub has had a complete facelift with new décor to refresh and revitalise it throughout. There are also tables outside where customers can enjoy food and drinks alfresco (weather permitting!).

Audrey added: “This is an exciting time for us as we welcome customers back. Pubs are the original social meeting place and The Birdcage is right on the map now when it comes to going out. We are a friendly local serving quality food and drinks, sports and entertainment with great service, and it’s all good value. Come in and see for yourself. We reckon you’ll love it!”
