The Bear in York Street, Twickenham is the place for those looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a slightly different way.
Taking inspiration from ITVs dating game show, Take Me Out, the team at the pub have a host of lovely ladies lined up along with five single men who hope that they’ll be able to keep the ladies lights on and secure a date.
Speaking about the event, Tom Bensted, Manager of The Bear said: “All the fun starts at 7.30pm and we’re still taking names for people that want to take part, all you have to do is pop into the Bear and register.
“We wanted to do something a little different for Valentine’s Day and thought a Bear-style version of Take Me Out would be just the thing – it’s certainly a break from the norm.
Hopefully it will be a great night out whether you’re a spectator or a participant. The format will be pretty much the same as the show where girls leave their lights on if they like the look of the guy or if they no likey, then it’s no lighty. We’ve even got a makeshift “Love Lift” where the single man will descend, complete with his own choice of music. We’ll also have a skill round where the men will be able to impress the ladies and hopefully bag himself a date.”
