Much loved local pub, The Corner House in Maidenhead, received an enthusiastic reception from regulars during its relaunch on Thursday 2nd February following a £200K investment.

Launch day was valentines’ themed and featured fire-breathers alongside a selection of pink-drinks, making the pub a hot prospect for future nights-out.

Award-winning pub operator, Craft Union Pub Company, has revitalised the Corner House with a series of improvements that will enhance the pub’s significant offer to the local community, including revamped décor, five HD TV screens, and a ‘secret courtyard’ seating area.

Operator Paul James said: “It’s modern and contemporary but warmer in feel. We’re planning great live events as well as sports nights and feel confident that locals and visitors will love it.”

New booths, a shiny new pool table and a brand-new outdoor seating area, make the pub a perfect place to relax and enjoy a couple of drinks.

A generous programme of events and activities will be hosted year-round. Horse-racing every Monday during the day, and a quiz with cash prizes every Tuesday evening, will be part of this, as will FIFA nights, pool and the Sticky 13 in addition to live music and popular karaoke and DJ nights.

But Paul is not coming to the Corner House alone – he works alongside his sister, Tracey, who together have combined experience of thirty years in the pub industry. The duo will work front of house, which will help them really get to know the locals.

Paul and Tracey anticipate that the pub will be a family and dog-friendly pub that will firm-up the Corner House’s place as the beating heart of the community.
