The Exchange, situated in the historic city of Winchester, is set to reopen on Friday 28 April following a £392,000 investment by Craft Union Pub Company.

The newly revamped Exchange is the place to be for the ultimate pub experience, with its new look and a range of exciting new features. New fixtures and fittings have created an inviting and stylish atmosphere, and of course, the drinks menu cannot be forgotten. It features all your favourite drinks so you will never be stuck for something to sip on.

The pub’s garden will definitely be the best local spot for sipping a refreshing drink in the sun this summer, with plenty of seating for all your friends and family in the spacious beer garden.

A new entertainment offering has also been introduced during the pub’s investment activity and it is not to be missed. For sports enthusiasts, the Exchange is now the go-to destination, featuring more viewing areas for live sports, including the garden area, and ensuring you will never miss out on a moment of the action! There is also a brand new darts board for those wanting to engage in friendly competitive socialising.

And if you are looking for more than just sports, the pub’s new entertainment programme offers a diverse range of weekly entertainment options, from open mic nights on Tuesdays, and karaoke on Wednesdays to live music nights on the weekends. There will always be something going on, and if you are looking to have a relaxing evening, the Exchange can also offer this.

Operator of the Exchange, Olly Mattinson, said: “Everyone at the Exchange is so pleased with the pub’s new look, and we hope that everyone likes it as much as we do. The introduction of the new drinks menu and entertainment offer is exciting, and we cannot wait to start serving guests and have some fun with them. This investment has really enhanced the Exchange, and we cannot wait to see how the future of this wonderful pub unfolds.”

Olly has worked in pubs for over 20 years, ranging from pub companies to independents. He has run his pubs for the last nine years with his partner Liam Murray, and the pair will be at the helm of the Exchange. Olly previously attended school in Winchester and then moved up to the North of the country and is now proud to be returning to his roots.

Olly added: “Myself and Liam are so excited to be back down in the South of the UK and in such a great city! We are excited to work with the team at Craft Union to make the Exchange a true community pub in Winchester.

“Liam, the team and I cannot wait to celebrate our wonderful new pub with everyone at our launch party weekend, which we hope to see you all at for two days of fun.”

To celebrate the reopening and investment, the Exchange will be holding a launch party weekend on Friday 12 May and Saturday 13 May. Come along from 8pm on Friday for a raffle, drinks, and prizes. The pub will also have a DJ for the night who will be providing memorable tunes, and the team want to see everyone to come along in their best pop idol outfits! Saturday will see the pub team welcome the Town Crier, and there will be live music throughout the evening.
