The Flute on Hardman Street in Liverpool is raising money for The Big Help Project, a Knowsley based charity which aims to feed the hungry and help people overcome poverty.

As a pub which prides itself on being at the centre of its community and strives to support local charities that are making a big difference in the local area, it recently organised a charity night to raise money to support the cause.

The event was a huge success. With not a spare seat left, customers geared up to win some incredible raffle prizes, including vouchers for Wagamama as well as beauty treatments. They also played rock and roll bingo before booging the night away with some disco karaoke, all to support a great cause.

Wade Zammit, General Manager, said: “We are delighted to support The Big Help Project. We had an incredible turnout for our charity night, which was great to see. The work the charity is doing is so important for our local area and all of us here at The Flute are happy to help.

“It was heart-warming to see so many regular faces, as well as new ones turn up to the event. The night proved what a community can do when everyone comes together and we are thrilled to have raised over £600 so far, as we know everything will make a huge difference.

“I’d like to say a massive thank you to all of my team members, but especially Kelly, who made the night possible. Having known someone that works for the charity, she planned the raffle to raise money for a cause which is very close to the pub’s and the community’s heart. It was a great night, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and knowing you’re making a difference within your community is truly rewarding.”
