Beloved community hub, The Hare and Hounds in St Albans, has made a triumphant return, with a new and improved look and feel, after receiving a transformative 6-figure investment, from UK’s largest pub company, Stonegate Group. To mark the grand re-opening, the pub also hosted a fun-filled launch party on Saturday 4th November, with local residents across the area coming to enjoy the pubs’ uplift, accompanied by local musicians, who made it a night to remember.
The local favourite pub, known for its historic charm, has undergone a major transformation throughout, whilst still managing to preserve its original character. This revamp has included substantial enhancements and additions, including an updated bar, with new additions such as Guinness, Amstel, and Moretti.
As well as the revamped bar, guests can expect to see a brand-new food menu coming into play in the next few weeks. This will feature a wide range of options, from burgers and pasta to steak and seafood, so there’s something for everyone!

Decoratively, the venue has had a new lease of life breathed throughout, with a brand-new ceiling, refurbished floors, fresh paint and modernised furnishings, all now adding to an elevated and uplifted atmosphere, with a chic and cosy feel. The pub will also now offer private bookings too, offering a welcoming space for all those special occasions.
Locals have been incredibly excited about the return of the areas much-loved pub, which had been temporarily closed since mid-August, but is now open for business, ready to serve the local community with a fresh and inviting new-look and atmosphere!
