Liverpool’s latest traditional pub, the John Brodie on Allerton Road, will open to customers at 11am on Monday 20th February 2012.
The pub, which is named after the former city engineer will offer a range of wines by the glass, cask ales and mouth-watering food at value for money prices, all in a relaxing, traditional pub environment.
Speaking about the opening of the John Brodie, manager Gary Fenton said: “The John Brodie is really starting to take shape and the designers and decorators have introduced some nice design features such as patterned and paisley wallpaper; comfortable upholstered furniture complete with dining tables and chairs and a beautiful oak-topped bar which gives the pub a really classic feel – we really are going back to our traditional roots.
“Our food menu offers some fantastic pub classics such as hand battered fish and chips, succulent pies along with cheese and bacon burger and classic lasagne. We’re also running a number of great offers including an all day breakfast and a drink for £4.75, two pub classic meals for just £6.45 or, if you’ve got a bit of sweet tooth, then our two for one desserts will definitely appeal.
“The team and I are really excited about the opening of the pub and are looking forward to welcoming customers to the John Brodie. We’re already putting our heads together to create a host of events such as charity fundraisers and we’ll be looking to support a local charity. We’ll be asking our customers to nominate the charities that they think need a bit of extra help when it comes to fundraising and hopefully we’ll be able to lend our support to them in whatever way we can.
“At the John Brodie, we want to create pub where customers can feel comfortable whether they are popping in for a coffee and a read of the papers, celebrating a family occasion with a few drinks and a bite to eat or just catching up with friends after a day at work.”
The John Brodie will be open from 10am-11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-1pm on Sunday.
