The Lamb Inn, Bicester has raised hundreds of pounds to buy toys, which are being donated to the Salvation Army this Christmas.

The Lamb Inn hosts regular quiz nights, putting their local’s knowledge to the test. During November, The Lamb Inn’s regular quiz nights were dedicated to fundraising for The Salvation Army this Christmas. When mentioned during the quizzes by quiz master Chris Mayhew, donations were made by the teams towards the cause. Quiz master Chris then matched the donations made by the teams as well as staff making contributions. With the money that was raised, the team at the pub went and brought a selection of toys, which are to be donated to The Salvation Army.

Claire French, General Manager of The Lamb Inn, said: “The quiz nights are a lot of fun and are a brilliant way to get all of the locals involved in an evening together as a community as well as supporting fundraising for this Christmas. The team and I wanted to do something to spread the Christmas cheer, which is why we wanted to donate toys to the Salvation Army. It is incredible to see how much we were able to raise as a community and I am thankful of everyone who took part and donated. I am also proud of my team for their astounding efforts.”

The Lamb Inn will continue their fundraising activities by holding a ‘count the number of sweeties in a jar’ for the British Heart Foundation.
