The Nags Head, a beloved local pub in Northallerton, is set to reopen its doors on the 23rd of May following an impressive £134,000 investment from Craft Union Pub Company, the fastest growing operator led company in the industry.
The refurbishment includes a complete redecoration of the interior throughout, which will now feature a brand-new bar, fresh carpets, and upgraded seating, ensuring a modern and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
One of the standout features of the refurbishment is the creation of a dedicated darts area, equipped with a revitalised, modern dartboard. The pub’s popular pool table has also been retained, continuing to offer a variety of different entertainment options for guests.
The outdoor area is the star of the show, with a revamped large beer garden that boasts a spacious stretch tent, now making it an all-weather destination. In addition, a brand-new 72″ TV will be installed in the garden, perfectly timed for fans to enjoy the upcoming Euros in style.
Kerry, operator of The Nags Head, has been part of the hospitality industry for five years and has been running the pub since February of last year. She is eagerly looking forward to welcoming the community back to the newly refurbished venue.
Kerry stated, “I am thrilled to open the doors to our new look Nags Head and can’t wait for the community to experience all the fantastic updates we’ve made. The fresh new interiors and our incredible outdoor space, especially with the Euros coming up, make it the perfect time to visit. We have a fantastic line-up of events planned for our big bank holiday launch weekend, and I’m excited to see everyone come together and enjoy the festivities.”
The reopening weekend promises plenty of entertainment from the 23rd to the 27th of May, ensuring a fun-filled bank holiday for everyone. The festivities will kick off on Thursday night with a live performance from Oli Patto, followed by Ricky Solo on Friday. Saturday evening will feature a fun-filled DJ and karaoke session, while Sunday night will host a Clubland Disco with a DJ. The celebrations will culminate on Monday with a special Pink tribute act in the early evening, starting from 5pm. With such a diverse line-up, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the long weekend!
Following the grand reopening, The Nags Head will continue to host a weekly schedule of events, including a meat draw, Craft Union quiz, bonus ball, beat the bar races, and much more, ensuring there’s always something exciting happening at the pub for the community to get involved with.
