Craft Union Pub Company invested £161,000 into the Oddfellows in Middleton last year, and since reopening its doors, Operators Theresa and Trev Healey, and the pub team have been welcoming many customers in and around the area. One guest they welcomed into the pub more recently is the Mayor of Rochdale, who popped in the see the pub’s new look, find out more about its offering, and get to know Theresa and Trev.

On his visit to the Oddfellows, the Mayor was given a tour of the fresh, new look pub and talked about all the changes that were made during the investment. The pub’s main bar area is now more spacious with the bar being relocated, and new furniture and fittings were added. During the investment, seven HD TVs were fitted, to enhance the Oddfellows sports offering.

Theresa said: “Having the Mayor visit us was lovely, he was very interested in finding out more about our recent investment, and it was great to show him around. The Mayor gave us some very nice compliments about the pub’s look and it was very nice to hear what he thought.”

Theresa and Trev were also able to talk to the Mayor about their community involvement, and how their offering brings everyone together. The Oddfellows welcome everyone in the community to come in and have a drink and participate in some great entertainment, including Tombola Tuesdays, screening of live sports and DJ Nights.

Trev said: “It has been great to see so many people come into the pub and enjoy a drink. The Mayor was able to see the community atmosphere of the pub, which was great, especially to tell him about all the events we offer for everyone to get involved with.”

The Mayor of Rochdale said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Oddfellows, it is such a great community pub. It was also very nice to meet Theresa, Trev and the pub team, they have built a lovely relationship with their customers and are doing a great job at maintaining high standards.

“The pub’s recent investment has really provided it with a wonderful look and it seems to be loved by all. I look forward to the next time I visit the Oddfellows and spend more time in this cheery community pub.”
