The Plough Inn, Hastings has reopened its doors following a significant investment.
Situated next to the English Channel with a picturesque sea view, The Plough Inn is the perfect place to visit, if you are looking for a place to relax, socialise and enjoy a drink amongst good company. The investment has seen the intimate one room pub transform into a modern, warm homely environment where everyone is welcome. The interior gives a bright feel to the pub with some lightly coloured walls, and a rustic feel from the exposed brick, both complimented by retro lighting. A feature to the pub is the open log fire, which has seating all around so you can cosy up in the evenings with drinks or start the cold mornings right with a warming cup of coffee.
The bar is a true centre piece, with taps placed around and the white, mirrored back bar displaying a wide range of spirits and wines. The Plough Inn has a wide variety of drinks available including a selection of on tap cask ales and beers changing seasonally, which include Harvey’s Best, St Austell Tribute, Doombar and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord.
The exterior is perfect for the upcoming warmer months, as there is seating in front of the pub with the sea view and sun out until lunchtime and the enclosed garden at the back which is a sun trap and protected from the sea breeze. The garden also has a Pétanque Court, refurbished to regulation length, with boule sets available, for a bit of competitive fun against friends and family.
The Plough have an incredible line up of live music events planned. On Saturday 23 April from 8pm, Stormy T and Bluesman’s Lane will be performing for the night. The live music does not end there, on Saturday 30 April Los Twangueros will be providing music for the evening. The pub is also hosting a Jamming Festival every Monday, starting from Monday 25 April. If you play alone, are in a band or love jamming out this is for you, come and play with others and enjoy some tunes.
Licensee of The Plough, Gerard Palmer, said: “It is great to be able to welcome guests back into The Plough and to be a social hub for the local community once again. The team and I are in love with the pubs new look and feel and we hope you all are too. The Plough feels like such a homely space, where everyone is welcome, no matter the occasion.”
“We cannot wait for the summer months here at the pub, when customers can enjoy a nice beer or drink in the garden and take in all the scenery and enjoyment of being so close to the coast. There are also lots of events coming up, which everyone is more than welcome to come along to, we are all very excited, they are going to be a lot of fun.”
