Local go-to favourite pub The Red Lion in Coleshill has re-opened it’s doors after a fresh new takeover, on Thursday 26th April and hosted a fun-packed launch weekend across the 5th and 6th of May.
The neighbourhood staple has undergone a transformation after a 6-figure investment and now comprises a new look, with, most notably, an incredible beer garden!
If you’re looking to enjoy a few drinks with friends in the sunshine, then look no further than The Red Lion’s newly enhanced beer garden. With new seating and a re-fitted outdoor bar, there’s no better place to enjoy a tipple whilst catching some rays!
John Opolli, new operator at The Red Lion, said: “Grace and I are thrilled to have joined the Coleshill community in our very first venture as small business owners, it has been a long-time dream of ours to start our own business and we hope to bring our unique energy and ethics to The Red Lion and its customers (who have given us such an amazing welcome over the first week).”
The new publican has worked in the hospitality world for over 25 years and has extensive experience in the pub sector.
As well as a total refresh, The Red Lion hosted a fun-packed launch party on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th May across the coronation weekend. The party consisted of a live-music night on the Friday, with a DJ hosting the evening on the Saturday! The Red Lion was also streaming live sports across the Sunday, and now the pub will be frequently showing spots across the board, you can watch the best games around with friends and family.
On top of this, the pub will now have activities across the week available to customers old and new, including poker games, a darts league, live music, and a charity quiz amongst many more, so you won’t be short of entertainment!
The pub also has a brand-new sports offering, with customers now able to take full advantage of the newly available BT and Sky Sports channels which are now accessible throughout the pub, so you can relax and enjoy all your favourite games with refreshing drink in hand.
John, operator concluded: “We had a great time at the bank holiday weekend, which was filled with celebration with the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, with live music Friday night and a DJ on Saturday and of course full coverage of the big sporting events over the weekend.”
