The Red Lion located in Teddington, is opening its doors on 29th November following a £100,000 investment to upgrade the site. The makeover aims to elevate the venue into becoming the neighbourhood’s best family friendly community pub, acting as “Teddington’s living room.”
As a part of the refurbishment, the outside of the pub has been newly painted sage green to give the site a fresh look and feel. The inside of the venue has also received a spruce up, with the pub’s bar being converted into a sleek cocktail bar to enhance the venue’s offerings.
The site’s three feature fireplaces have stayed intact, while the furniture around the fireplaces received an upgrade to comfortable new booths and seating areas to complement the pub’s cosy new atmosphere. Moreover, the beloved grand piano, which was located the pub over the past 10 years, has been meticulously transformed into a feature table in the middle of the pub, creating a striking centre piece.
The site’s new food menu is filled with pub favourites including Nduja Croquets and Crispy Squid, perfect for sharing while catching up with friends. The venue’s delicious roast dinners and fresh fish dishes ensure the Red Lion, Teddington is the perfect place for family lunch and dinners.
The bar will continue serving popular lagers, IPAS and ciders on draft including Neck Oil, Brixton Cold Harbour, Guinness, Old Mout Cider. While the shiny new cocktail menu will include classic cocktails to ensure there is something for everyone, no matter what your drink of choice may be!
Once reopened, the pub is excited to host an array of events and programs for the local community. Guests will have the chance to listen to live music by local artists, attend weekly quiz night, and enjoy live comedy nights.
New publican, Kanwar Singh, took over the Red Lion, Teddington at the start of November. This is the first Stonegate venture for Kanwar, who also manages The Cricketers in Windlesham, a STAR Pubs & Bars site.
