Event Notification: The Royal Oak is getting Beach Ready

The Royal Oak will be transforming into an island paradise on Sunday 29th July, all in aid of Mind, the mental health charity.
The team at the pub will be dressing the garden up with a beachy feel, complete with palm trees, coconuts and other sandy staples, and customers are encouraged to don shorts, t-shirts, shades and sunhats and join the party! The garden bar will be open, and your favourite Royal Oak beach bums (aka bar staff!) will be on hand to serve delicious summer cocktails, as they while away the afternoon, on island time.
Cannock Chase Radio will be presenting its Sunday Show from the pub, with DJ Nick Parton bringing his favourite beachy tunes to top off the summer atmosphere. The Royal Oak will also be organising some games for the afternoon, from Mr & Mrs, to the team’s version of Play Your Cards Right, there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Freddy Sipson, Manager of the Royal Oak, said, “We like to ramp up the fun in the summer months, and being at possibly the most central spot in England and the furthest away from any beach, we thought what could be better than a beach party? We’ve got all sorts of props and decorations to really bring that beach feel to the garden, and I for one, can’t wait!”
