The Silk Mill, Derby is hosting a ‘Cask Ale and Cider’ festival as part of the pub’s Jubilee Weekend festivities. From Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June, over 30 ciders and more than 20 ales will be available during the festival. From local ales and brews to the tasty and ever so popular Lilley’s cider, there will be something for every taste.

The pub also has live entertainment planned throughout the weekend. With her pop and rock melodies mixed with strong vocals, Faye Bagley will be serenading all from 8 pm on Thursday 2 June. On Friday 3 June, a laid-back acoustic pop and soft rock cover performance will take place at 8pm with Chris Newcomb. On Saturday 4 June at 8pm, Ollie Hayes will perform alternative pop music in the pub. On Sunday 5 June at 4pm the incredible voice of Olivia Jayne Currie will blow us away.

Barry Garnham, General Manager of the Silk Mill, Derby, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to create something different and unique. The Platinum Jubilee Weekend Bank Holiday is so special for everyone, and we want to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years of service in the best way possible. We invite everyone to join us and have a great time at our pub. We urge all the beer lovers to join our ‘Cask Ale and Cider’ festival and try all the amazing drinks that we have to offer.”

From Wednesday 1 June, guests can enjoy whilst at the pub, traditional British dishes and raise their glasses to her Majesty the Queen, with a selection of Royal tipples.
