The team at Slug and Lettuce in Edgar buildings celebrated their re-opening weekend by giving away a diamond worth £500 to Bristol resident, Kirsten Van Dijk. Kirsten joined a host of other people who visited the Slug and Lettuce over the weekend to see the changes that the £250,000 investment has made to the bar.
Kirsten was the lucky customer whose four-digit code had the right combination to unlock the safe containing the diamond.
Leanne Morrall, general manger of the Slug and Lettuce said: “There was a real sense of celebration over the opening weekend and I’m sure that we made Kirsten’s night on Friday. She was completely amazed that her code cracked the safe and that amazement turned into delight when we presented her with the diamond.
“There was such a great atmosphere here at the Slug and Lettuce and we hope that continues. We’ve had lots of positive feedback from customers who love what we’ve done with the bar and we saw some new faces as well as our existing customer base popping in to see how the bar has been transformed. We’re glad to be up and running and the team are raring to go as we begin to build up towards Christmas.
“There’s a real mix of customers who visit the Slug and Lettuce, from office workers, tourists and regulars during the day, the after work crowd in the early evening and people coming into Bath on the weekend looking for a great place to party and all of them expect first class service in great surroundings, so with our new look we can now do that in style.”
