To celebrate, manager Graeme Lancaster Smith will be going the extra mile for his clientele giving away a real diamond to one lucky customer.
“The first 200 guests to arrive will each receive a glass of cava with either a diamante, or for one lucky person, a real diamond attached to the glass” Graeme explains, “Each customer is invited to take their ‘diamond’ to the expert jeweller we will have in the bar who will verify the real diamond.”
“It’s a fabulous giveaway and pretty good odds at 200 to 1”, he continued. Customers wishing to secure a complimentary hot ticket to the event should email SlugVIP@stonegatepubs.com
“The refurbishment of the bar has come at a great time what with all the activity taking place in London over the summer and the expected increase in visitors. We’ve also been granted permission for a pavement licence so we’ll be introducing more tables and chairs at the front of the building so people can watch the world go by, providing it stops raining!
“There’s a real mix of customers at Slug and Lettuce County Hall from office workers, tourists and regulars during the day, the after work crowd in the early evening and people coming up to London on the weekend looking for a great place to party and all of them expect first class service in great surroundings, so with our new look we can do that in great style.
“The extra space created in our basement bar will be perfect for private functions including office parties, birthdays or dinners”, added Graeme, “and with its own private bar it will mean customers can enjoy all the exclusivity of private hire whilst enjoying the atmosphere and buzz of a busy bar.”
