It’s the season for giving and the Slug and Lettuce on George Street in Hove are getting in the spirit by hosting Peppa Pig Sunday’s – a weekly event for the little ones – and raising money for the Rockinghorse Children’s charity.
Assistant manager at the Slug and Lettuce, Jodie Thomas said: “The Rockinghorse Children’s charity is a Sussex based charity for the local children’s hospital who provide life-saving medical equipment and create a better environment at the hospital for the children. Their cause lies close to our hearts and it is important for us to help out and ensure that the children are treated with proper care.
“Every Sunday, our mascot Peppa Pig makes an appearance at the Slug and Lettuce to entertain the kids while their parents enjoy a good meal and get a relaxing moment to themselves. The kids love Peppa and many of them stand in line to get a photo with our friendly mascot. We also host daily activities, which change from week to week and include face painting; craft sessions; TV tots and story telling. In exchange for hosting these events, we ask customers for a small donation towards the Rockinghorse Children’s charity.”
