A slice of nostalgia is set to hit Cardiff this month with the opening of legendary party venue Popworld.

Located on St Mary’s Street, the venue has received an investment of £150k and is set to officially open its doors to the public on Friday 19th February with Smirnoff’s fun-filled ‘One Night Only’ event, featuring UV cannons, glowbots and fire eaters.

Known for championing all our guilty pleasures, Popworld has forged a legendary status across the UK for providing memorable nights out filled with fun, laughter and the best pop tunes in town. Now, following an extensive refurbishment, residents of Cardiff will be able to let their hair down and indulge in some 90s nostalgia – the perfect soundtrack to a night on the tiles.

The refurbishment of the former Flares venue will see Popworld welcome colourful lights, a refreshed feel and more importantly, an atmospheric scene to have the time of your life. Booths and an exclusive area for VIPs will also be fitted, with the venue’s dancefloor remaining in a prime position for boogying the night away.

With a focus on showcasing pop classics from the 90s onwards, Popworld will play hits designed to get people dancing. Whether it’s S Club, Destiny’s Child or the Spice Girls that get you into the party mood, visiting Popworld is sure to transform your night into one you’ll remember. What’s more, customers will be able to enjoy a range of offers on cocktails, mixers and bottles throughout the week.
