The Angel, Watlington has been shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Best Pub for Food at the Great British Pub Awards 2022.

 

A village pub, at the heart of the local community, The Angel provides a warm welcome to all. They are open seven days a week offering food, drinks, and a space for the local community to come together. The Angel prides themselves on their delicious dishes of home cooked, traditional pub food and their frequently changing menu which offer variety. Do not worry the team are sure to keep all the favourites on the menu. The pub work with some amazing local suppliers to source the freshest ingredients to be able to produce their high-quality dishes.

 

There are some mouth-watering dishes featured on a range of different menus including traditional Sunday Lunches, an array of seafood dishes such as pan fried seabass and Cromer Crab Omelette. To pair with your chosen meal, the extensive drinks menu offers refreshing beverages of cask ales, lagers, wines, and spirits. If you are craving something sweet, then there are delightful deserts including a glazed lemon tart and The Angel’s black forest gateau.

The awards recognise pubs, and their teams across the country for their amazing efforts and hard work undertaken to makes Britain’s pubs great for their communities. Two rounds of judging have already taken place to choose the finalists, and further judging will commence over the summer with pub visits taking place.

 

The Great British Pub Awards are taking place on Tuesday 4 October 2022 at the Escape to Freight Island in Manchester.
