The Flute is celebrating a £200,000 revamp giving its student following, locals and tourists, a fresh pub to wet their whistles in style.

The conversion will see the Flute boast thirteen flat screen TV’s, bookable private booths, varied entertainment from quizzes to DJ and new dance floor alongside a wider range of beers, a doubling of the gin and rum brands and top value food.

The launch jubilations are all set for Friday 24th November 2017 starting with a complimentary glass of fizz and a talk about everything beer with a “Meet the Brewer” visit from local Coach House brewery before cover band ‘iPanic’ gets everyone in the mood to celebrate from 6pm.

General Manager Jamie Mullen is seeing the Flute through its transformation, having worked in pubs for the last fifteen years he is more than ready to take on the challenge. Speaking of his excitement surrounding the new project Jamie said, “There are good times ahead! We will be creating loads more space for busy nights and the place is going to look fantastic.

“Six new local jobs have also been created as we focus on the food menus, which will go down a storm in this area given the price, the range and obviously the really great environment in which to casually dine out.”

Food has something for every one with 2 meals from £9.49 such as Fish & Chips and Beef & Ale Pie all day every day. Burgers from Classic Beef to Three-way Chicken, Grills and Build-your-own Planks for the ultimate socialites couldn’t get more ‘proper pub’. A pizza pie – the perfect blend of everyone’s favourite indulgences, pastry dough with a mozzarella and meat or mushroom filling – is the perfect winter warmer.

Three craft beers and six cask ales will regularly rotate from both national and local breweries. A modern gin menu pairs botanicals with the perfect tonic; cocktails are two-for-one all day every day and there’s a great selection of wines and soft drink.

‘Free Pool Wednesdays’ make The Flute hugely popular for those wanting a little friendly competition to unwind but if pool isn’t your fortè there is always Monday Quiz night, Tuesday Games night and Sunday Bingo night featuring prizes and a gallon of beer to be won.

The Flute will also continue its commitment to great deals including Midweek Madness every Thursday night offering hugely reduced drinks coupled with an all-day Grill dinner deal, Monday’s big plate Go Large specials, Tuesday’s burger and free drink, Wednesday pie and a pint deal, and the delicious selection of Saturday Shares for only £7.99.
