The White Bear in Barrowford celebrated at the weekend after a £150,000 investment with a classic Casino Royale evening.
Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson was one of the many customers congratulating manager Martyn Haynes and his team on the refurbishment, which retained the pub’s character whilst vamping up the landmark pub.
Sports were a big theme with BT and Sky Sports projected all around the pub, and Burnley FC memorabilia adorning the historic walls.
It was one of the busiest weekends for food with two meals now £9.99, and Sunday lunch a definite winner with locals.
Collector cards drove sales of the extended forty strong gins, and six local ales range.
Manager Martyn Haynes said: “Everyone commented on how good the pub looks now which is great given the balance we wanted to strike in offering a modern amenity whilst being sensitive to the character of the White Bear.
“We’re looking forward to the Anthony Joshua fight on 31st March, as well as a big sporting summer. On top of that we have the Pendle Pub Walk in June, our own entertainment every day of the week from pub quiz to karaoke and monthly live music on Saturdays.”
