Yates, Romford, is set to re-open today, Tuesday 12th March, under the new ownership of Craft Union Pub Company. The community-led establishment has undergone a revitalising transformation, complete with a fresh look and a fun-filled entertainment schedule. Due to positive customer demand, Yates will now also open its doors from 10am daily.
Along with the re-decoration, the high-street favourite has also seen the installation of a brand-new pool table, for any guests who fancy a bit of friendly competition. Throughout the pub, guests will notice a refreshed look and feel, with revamped decor and an expanded product range, including popular choices such as Cruzcampo, John Smith’s, and a selection of real ales.
Craft Union prides itself on being more than just a pub; it’s a place the community can come together to enjoy a great range of drinks, watch sport, catch up with friends and locals, and experience entertainment every week. Yates, Romford is set to embrace this ethos wholeheartedly, offering an enhanced experience for its guests across the board.
Yates also welcomes new operator Eliza Griva, who brings a wealth of experience to the new-look pub, with over 15 years of experience in the bar industry. Eliza, has ascended in her career from bar staff to general manager, now fulfilling her lifelong dream of running a pub.
Eliza Griva, Operator at Yates, Romford, said, “I have been in London for 17 years now, and spent over 15 of those in bars. My journey has been so much fun and there’s nothing I enjoy more than being a part of pub teams and bringing the local community together in great spaces. I’ve worked my way up from bar staff to General Manager, and it has always been my dream to run a pub, and Craft Union made that happen! I can’t wait to welcome locals back, it’s an amazing location and a local hub of activity which is now even more welcoming.”
Looking ahead, Eliza also has plans to enhance the pub’s offerings further with community led events. These plans include hosting raffles, student nights, and LGBTQIA+ nights once a month, ensuring that Yates, Romford remains a dynamic, community hub which is inclusive for all.
