The team at Yates’s in Portland Street celebrated their reopening, following an investment of £200,000, by organising a bonanza of entertainment for their customers whilst showcasing their new look.
Dance troupe, Popalicious got the crowd going as they displayed some serious dance moves and encouraged customers to do the same!
“Who knew our customers had moves like that!” said Chris Graham, licensee of Yates’s. “I was really impressed but I’m sure the new lighting and sound system that was installed as part of the investment gave them some inspiration too. It looks amazing. The new-look Yates’s has been received really well and the customers are delighted. In fact, Susan, who is one of our regular customers, has told us on good authority that the new comfy chairs are fit for a queen!
“The front of the pub has been opened up, flooding it with light and enables people to see into the pub from the street and that’s encouraged some new faces which is great. We’ve also introduced a new VIP booth which are great for parties and large groups of people. Already they are attracting a lot of attention and we’re starting to take bookings for those who want to have a special twist on their night out.
“One of the many great things about Yates’s is that it can be all things to all people. You can start off the day with one of our hearty breakfasts; catch up with work colleagues over a sandwich at lunch or have a memorable night out with friends; whatever the occasion we want to make Yates’s the number one choice.
“The look of the pub may have changed but we’re still offering great value for money deals across our food and drink menu including re-introducing roast dinners on Sunday; offering selected dishes for £2.99 all on Monday as part of our Monday Madness deal; curry and a drink for £5.85 on Wednesday and Grill Night on Thursday where you can get an item from the grill menu such as steak or BBQ chicken and a drink for £7.95.
“It’s all about creating a happy balance for all our customers and a bar that the people of Manchester can be proud of.”
