The team at Yates’s on Grainger Street in Newcastle, which is owned and operated by the award-winning Stonegate Pub Company, has raised over £600 for the Royal British Legion by taking part in a seven-mile sponsored walk.

Setting out from Yates’s, the team, including general manager Mark Wright and deputy manager Sean Traynor, were met towards the end of their route by Councillor Linda Wright at the Fallen Solider Memorial in Newburn. Councillor Wright presented them with a certificate from the Royal British Legion, thanking them for their fundraising efforts (see picture) and then joined the team for the remainder of the route, despite recently undergoing minor heart surgery to show her support for the cause.
